Hello! My name is Edison Hines, a New York based photographer and videographer. I was born and raised in New York city and I’ve lived here all my life. I Love the city, the cultures, the variety and at times even the people too. I graduated from Buffalo State University studying photography and psychology. Currently I’m working as a photographer and a social worker but I hope to make photography as a full time job a reality. I am grateful to live in this big city of opportunity and I am excited to see what the future holds for me and my cameras.

—Experience

The year was 2014 when I started taking photos as a hobby and by 2016 I started to take things serious and started my professional career. Since then I’ve done 100+ shoots ranging from weddings, proposals, real estate and portraits in my 10 years of practice. I’ve edited thousands of photos at this point and I still love every minute of my craft. What’s the saying? When you do something you love you’ll never work a day in your life? That’s exactly how I feel knowing I can shoot over and over and over again and still feel fresh for the next one.

—Looking to the Future

When it comes to a career with a camera there are several avenues I’d like to explore. I am interested primarily in becoming a photography director in my own studio partnering with companies and other artists to bring their visions to life. I’d love nothing more than to wake up, drive to my own studio and work with a team of likeminded individuals on bringing a vision to life. Outside of that I personally enjoy event and real estate photography and I can see myself being a professional in those areas as well.
